WWW Wednesday

What I Am Currently Reading:

I’m locked in a war that’s not of my making, and I’m tied to a destiny I have no say in.

For someone like me, Brennan O’Donnelly represents something intangible— safety .

A single promise unlocks options I didn’t dare dream of possessing…

A future.

A family.

He’s hard. He’s dangerous. He’s filthy.

Yet, somehow, he’s exactly what I crave.

Now I just need to make him see me for what I am—his Queen.

If he’ll have me…

What I Recently Finished:

Wednesday

Fifteen years ago, she fell into my world.

Fifteen years ago, I fell for her.

She’s the love of my life.

No going back.

Loving someone means sacrificing your own happiness to protect them.

Loving someone means making them hate you to keep them safe, to get them away from the toxicity that is your world.

I destroyed us before we even had a chance to begin…

Can a near death experience bring both my kid and the woman who owns my heart back to me?

What I Think I’ll Read Next:

The second our eyes meet, I feel it.
The ticking clock.
It’s only a matter of time before we come together.
Before the heat that arcs between us turns into a conflagration.
But he’s a mobster. An O’Donnelly. His notoriety is legendary.
I’m a journalist. I expose men like him, which is how I built my reputation.
Manipulating the truth is how the Five Points forged their name. It’s why he’s one of NYC’s most eligible bachelors, after all.
Whereas for me, the truth is my calling.
My purpose.
With my life on the line, will I risk it all once more to find safety in the arms of a filthy hot  O’Donnelly?

Can’t Wait… Wednesday

From New York Times bestselling author Tijan comes a raw, tempestuous romance between the criminal underworld and a parole officer that paints a thin line between right and wrong.

When Jess Montell meets Trace West at a hockey game, she doesn’t know his name or occupation. What she does know is there’s an instant attraction that’s impossible to ignore—or forget. And forgetting is exactly what she wants to do when she learns he’s not just a successful Wall Street suit but the heir to one of New York’s biggest Mafia families.

The last thing Trace needs is a romantic anything with law enforcement, and parole officer Jess has trouble written all over her. Too bad he likes trouble. Especially when it’s a brunette bombshell with attitude and legs for days.

She’s an absolute spitfire, and he wants to stoke that flame.

Trace didn’t ask for the Mafia life. Jess doesn’t want any part of it. They both know it’s safer to stay away, but the temptation is too hard to resist—no matter how great the danger.

A Dirty Business by Tijan comes out December 6th, 2022. I am so excited for this book to come out; it looks so good. Tijan’s books are always so interesting and the title just drew me in the minute I saw it. This book is going to be so good, I cannot wait for it to come out. I have liked all if not the majority of Tijan’s books; I really think that I will like this one also.

Shelf Control

Five teenagers from different parts of the country. Three girls. Two guys. Four straight. One gay. Some rich. Some poor. Some from great families. Some with no one at all. All living their lives as best they can, but all searching … for freedom, safety, community, family, love. What they don’t expect, though, is all that can happen when those powerful little words “I love you” are said for all the wrong reasons.

Five moving stories remain separate at first, then interweave to tell a larger, powerful story—a story about making choices, taking leaps of faith, falling down, and growing up. A story about kids figuring out what sex and love are all about, at all costs, while asking themselves, “Can I ever feel okay about myself?”

Tricks by Ellen Hopkins; When I read this book I get halfway through and never finish it. Ellen’s books always keep me hooked and this book is no different, I can not for the day that I actually finish this book because I know that it will be amazing.
