War and His Queen

War and His Queen By Amo Jones Book Review

Thank you, Candi Kane PR, and Amo Jones for giving me this Arc in exchange for a book review. Elite Kings Club is my all-time favorite books series. I could read it repeatedly. When Amo said that she was writing the second generation of the EKC I was so excited. I just knew that they were going to be so good and that the characters were going to be just as twisted if not worse than their parents. This series is going to be right up there will EKC as my favorite that I can re-read I just know it is. You should read Elite Kings Club before you read this so that you can be prepared for the darkness that will come with the darkness and so you will know some of the backstory of what is happening in the book.

War and His Queen
War and His Queen by Amo Jones

War and His Queen is the first book in the Carpe Noctum series. The second generation of the Elite Kings Club. This book is about War and Halen; War is the son of Nate and Tillie and Halen is the “Forgiveness was not a currency I’d ever spend. If you crossed me. I’d simply make you pay.of Bishop and Madison. War and His Queen go from past to present. In the beginning of the book, you will see that the girls are very defiant and by going out of town to parties without the guy’s knowledge. You learn that the dads are training their daughters for when they become kings and for the ritual when it happens. You will also see the ritual happen in the book, the process leading up to the ritual and everything they have to do for the ritual. Perdita comes up in this book as well you see that it still gets visited and that Katasia is still involved and can still be an issue. War and Halen have a very tension fueled relationship you can feel the sexual tension from the very beginning.

  • “Forgiveness was not a currency I’d ever spend. If you crossed me. I’d simply make you pay.
  • “My drink of choice was betrayal. And I stayed drunk on it for fourteen days.
  • Love was nothing more than a mask used to forgive someone for all the wrong they did. Love didn’t exist. Obsession did.

Halen is the daughter of Bishop and Madison. In my personal opinion she is just like Bishop, but she has her moments when she will act like Madison; it is usually when she is with War. Halen has, I think, a good relationship with her brother; he is very protective of her; he also loves her very much and if she goes missing, he is going to find her. Halen and Madison are more like sisters than they are like mother and daughter, she also has a good relationship with Tillie War’s mother Tillie is like her sister/mother as well. Tillie is incredibly supportive of Halen and War being together, she was afraid of who War would choose to be with. When Halen was fourteen, she asked War to have sex with her he said that he said no so she went somewhere else, who that is we discover later in the book and War’s reaction to it I think is just like Nate. Halen is the ringleader of the girls, and she is not afraid to stand up for herself or for her family.

  • If you think that girl doesn’t need to be loved by toxicity and poison, then you may not know her at all. She may not be a coldhearted killer like the rest of us, but she has her own demons, and they all have to do with the way she needs to be loved and fucked. So back. The fuck up. River’s anger dissipates the more she blinks, her eyes finally widening with understanding. She knows I’m right. They all do. Regardless of how I Love Halen, the fact is that I do. The only way I know how to love, just so happens to be the only way she craves it.”

War is the son of Nate and Tillie. In my opinion, I think that War is just like Nate which I love because Nate is my favorite. War has a good relationship with his sister he is very protective of her; I’m assuming he has a good relationship with his mom and dad, he does have a very father/son relationship with Bishop which makes sense cause Nate and Bishop are best friends. War and Priest are best friends and Priest knows about the attraction and the love between War and Halen he is okay he doesn’t want Halen to get hurt. War is very attracted to Halen, and he is trying to resist her because he made a pact just like their parents did not to have sex or get involved with Halen, but it is hard for him. They have such a strong attraction to each other that you can feel it from the very first page. One of the things I love about War is how he loves her the way she needs to be loved and the only way he knows how to love.

War and His Queen

War and His Queen is one of my all-time favorite books. The sexual tension between War and Halen that you feel from the beginning and seeing the relationship evolve throughout the books and how they come to be together at the end is the best. The other members are just as amazing on their own. The Parents what we got of them was so exciting getting to see Bishop, Madison, Tillie function as parents was so funny. Stella is just like Brantley, and I am looking forward to her story when it eventually comes out the same with Vaden, River. Priest and Luna’s book is next, and I cannot wait especially after the ending Priest is such an interesting character and who he is I can not wait to learn more about him. I will definitely be re-reading this book.
