Review of Fated by Liza James

Rating: 6 out of 6.

This is the second time I have read Fated. I do not usually read fantasy, but this book was just so good. Elijah and Luna’s story was so different from my normal read. I cannot wait to read Nathanial and Stella’s book.

Fated

Luna thinks she is just a normal girl when she is kidnapped one night outside her work. Ever since she was a child she has been rejected, and when Elijah rejects her, it hurts her, and she doesn’t know why. She soon learns secrets about her parents that she never knew.

Elijah is a fallen angel, and he feels this pull towards Luna that he can’t explain. When she is fatally injured, he is afraid he will lose her. Elijah makes the decision to bond with her, but he doesn’t tell her anything about the bond and what it is going to do to her.

Favorite Quotes

“I, Elijah, Seraphim Angel of Arcadia, bind my blood to yours in covenant. I submit to the harmony of our souls as one.”

“Then you are mine as well, Elijah. My Fallen Angel, my addiction. My fucking obsession,”

She may be the Demon, but I’m the Devil disguised as an Angel. Eternally created to ruin her in every way I can get my filthy hands on.

“I want every part of you. The Angel. The Demon. Every dark and dangerous corner, every bright space that claims you. I take them all and demand each piece as my own.”

“But I fuck you in the same breath that I make love to you. Because I do, Luna. I love you. More than anything or anyone that came before. More than anything that could ever happen in the future. I belong to you. You own me in every way that could ever exist.”
